Attach the lead to the dog’s collar, then give him the sit command.
Now say “stay”, and pace backwards to the full extent of the lead
Now say “come”, and if the dog does not comply right away give a light tug on the lead.
Wait till the dog reaches you, then tell him to sit, and give praise and a reward.
Once the dog gets the hang of it, start training him without the lead.
